Surface design show 2011

I did not attend the Surface design show this year in Islington as I was from my holidays.  However, I was asked if I would like to provide some of my test samples from my degree for the University of Huddersfield stand.  Here are a couple of samples, I used a variey of materials such as cardboard, plywood and acrylic sheeting to produce laser cut layered tiles, the stand was blogged on tepilo.

Plants

I have not been online for a few weeks as my PC had a problem and I have also been on holiday to incredible India.  Before I went away I drew a couple of plants in the style of Jill Bliss and created designs in photoshop from the drawings.  Here they are, a blackberry bush, a nasturium and a holiday cactus.

While I have been out walking I have noticed lots more patterns in plant life and I have began to photograph them to draw.  Once the warmer weather I will draw them outside.  Roll on summer.
